Reviews Overview

Most Liked

One standout feature at Trawlers is the crispy batter used on the fish. Patrons rave about the delicious cod and haddock, often highlighting the moist fish that lies beneath the golden crust. Many customers feel that fish and chips should hit quality and price, and Trawlers certainly delivers on both counts. The portion sizes are generous, meaning diners don’t leave hungry.

The battered sausage deserves a mention of its own as regulars claim it’s the best they’ve ever tasted. Guests appreciate the light flavor balanced with just the right amount of vinegar and salt. This coupled with the restaurant's efficient service and friendly staff has contributed to its reputation as a must-visit spot in Norwich. The casual atmosphere is another plus, with diners enjoying their meals without any pressure.

Most Disliked

Trawlers Fish And Chips, while beloved by many, isn't without minor downsides. A common point of feedback concerns the wait times during peak hours. Some diners have noticed that food delivery orders take precedence, which can lead to longer waits for those who choose to eat in. This can be frustrating when hunger strikes and you want to savor that crispy fish without delay.

Another small complaint revolves around portioning of condiments, particularly the curry sauce, which some guests wish came in larger quantities. While portions of main dishes leave diners feeling full, the sides and sauces could offer a bit more. It’s a testament to how delicious the food is that guests desire even more of it.

Such FANTASTIC battered sausage I mean the best I've EVER had with vinegar/salt.They just get it spot on every time-lovely light flavour with kick.Super clean and decent value too. Efficient friendly staff. Atmosphere is solid, though nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes have to be patient as the delivery people take priority. Would I recommend-ABSOLUTELY! Adrian

Excellent service Excellent food Was served very quickly and and the fish n chips were excellently cooked, even though I do prefer them cooked in beef dripping these tasted good and no after taste of the vegetable oil. Also a very reasonable price compared to other chippies.
